Welcome to Total Solutions K9 Training, LLC where our goal is to MAKE YOUR BEST FRIEND BETTER!  My name is Cory Gladden and I am the Owner and Head Trainer.  After spending 15 years in the customer service and corporate training industries, I took the leap of faith and decided to make a major career change.  I thought to myself, what can I do that will allow me to start my own business and work with the two things I love; people and dogs.   It was then that my lovely wife, Kim, suggested I look into becoming a dog trainer.  (She is, after all, the brighter one in the relationship!)  After researching different schools and programs, I decided to attend the Tom RoseSchool for Professional Dog Trainers in St. Louis, MO.  There, I had the opportunity to spend 9 months learning from some of the industries best about training methods, philosophies and trouble shooting.  While at school, I had to pass requirements for obedience in AKC and Schutzhund, detection work (i.e. narcotics), Search and Rescue, tracking and protection.  I also was able to work with the public in training their dogs in group classes, private lessons and in kennel training.  This intensive education opened my eyes to show me the importance of QUALIFIED dog training.  Upon graduation, I went to work for Kennelwood Pet Resorts, in St. Louis.  There, I was able to lead group classes and conduct in home training lessons.  I also had the opportunity to volunteer with the Belleville Police Department K-9 academy where we worked with local departments in getting their Police K-9 teams ready for their qualification requirements.  During this time, Kim and I made the decision to move to North Central Wisconsin, where she is from.  It is here, that I started Total Solutions K-9 Training, LLC.

At Total Solutions K-9 Training, LLC, we believe that every dog is different and no single method of training works for every dog.  Our education and experience allows us to work with each dog and owner on an individual basis.  Some companies use a ‘cookie cutter’ method of training for all dogs.  If your dog doesn’t respond to that method, you may be asked to leave their class.  Not with us!  If something is not working, we will work with you and your dog to find a method that will.  We use basic principles to train any dog, but the methods may differ depending on each situation.  We will do what ever we can to MAKE YOUR BEST FRIEND BETTER!

Our Family

Kim and I have four great dogs.  Randle is 5 years old and is a German Shepherd/Sheltie mix.  I rescued him after somebody dropped his pregnant mother off at the pound.  He was born there, and has been a part of our family since. He is the "Lover" of the family and is always looking for a little attention!  Maddie, our 3 year old lab mix was also rescued from the pound.  She is our "Miss Independent".  Foster, our 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd was the first dog to help me get through the Tom Rose School.  He is trained in AKC obedience and tracking.  He is the "Handsome" one of the family.  Finally, there is Stella.  She is the second dog who helped me with my Tom Rose School requirements.  Stella is a 1.5 year old Belgian Malinois.  She is trained in protection, scent detection, tracking and article recovery.  She is the "Wild Child" who doesn’t stay still, even when she sleeps.
